Join a banking technology team delivering scalable cloud-native applications within a B2B environment. This role focuses on backend Java development, AWS services, serverless architectures, and full-stack web applications using React and Angular. The position offers exposure to new technologies and collaboration across multiple groups within a large financial services organization.
Must Haves- 8+ years of development work experience with Java.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SNS, SQS, CDK).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (ECS/EKS).
- Familiarity with REST API integration.
- Experience with Git, pull requests, and collaborative development workflows.
- Version Control:
Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows. - CI/CD:
Experience with AWS Code Pipeline or similar tools. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an agile environment. Troubleshooting. Software development lifecycle. Reliable and accountable, strong team player, self-starter who works independently with minimal supervision. Demonstrates initiative, is proactive, and consistently looks for ways to improve processes. Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of security best practices in AWS.
- Translates user needs into technical specifications by understanding, conceptualizing, and facilitating technical requirements from users.
- Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
- Works independently on a range of complex tasks, which may include unique situations.
- Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications on AWS
- Build backend services using Java
- Implement scalable backend services and APIs (REST/GraphQL) leveraging AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, RDS/DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, Cognito, and Cloud Front.
- Build responsive and dynamic user interfaces using React and Angular. Integrate front-end applications with backend services and AWS infrastructure.
- Write clean, testable, and well-documented code; establish unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Apply secure coding practices; integrate authentication/authorization and secrets management following AWS and OWASP best practices.
- Ensure application security, scalability, and performance in a cloud environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and follow best practices for cloud deployments.
