Technology Solutions Pay Details: $105,100 - $129,400 CAD This role is eligible for a discretionary variable compensation award that considers business and individual performance. About This Role TD Securities’ Payments Workflow Technology team is seeking a Senior Mainframe Application Engineer to design, develop, deliver, and support solutions aligned with the firm’s technology strategy. The team is responsible for delivering technology solutions across the Payments distributed workflow, spanning both mainframe and distributed application components.

In this role, you will contribute to the creation of end‑to‑end technical solutions, with accountability for detailed technical design, development, delivery, and ongoing production support of complex payment systems. You will work on large‑scale, high‑complexity, and enterprise‑wide initiatives, taking ownership of sophisticated programming and coding activities across online and batch mainframe applications. We are looking for a seasoned engineer with a strong technical toolkit and a hands‑on mindset, capable of developing and maintaining robust solutions that adhere to engineering best practices and architectural standards, while meeting business, regulatory, and operational requirements.

You will provide deep technical expertise with a focus on efficiency, reliability, scalability, security, and operational resilience, supporting applications throughout their full lifecycle — from planning and design through implementation, production support, and continuous improvement. You will participate in the development of test strategies, test plans, and test cases, and contribute hands‑on to testing efforts, including unit testing and integration testing, while supporting higher‑level testing phases such as SIT , BAT and PAT.

Provide technical support to business and testing teams throughout testing phases, including clarifying design intent, troubleshooting issues, and validating results.
