We’re looking for a hands-on Frontend Developer with strong accessibility expertise to support and modernize existing (legacy) frontend component libraries. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys improving existing systems and ensuring digital experiences are inclusive, compliant, and user-friendly.
Role OverviewYou’ll focus on maintaining legacy frontend libraries, identifying and fixing accessibility issues, and validating solutions through hands-on testing.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and enhance legacy frontend component libraries
- Identify, test, and remediate accessibility issues
- Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.2 and ADA standards
- Test using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, and non-mouse interactions
- Fix issues such as missing ARIA labels, form labeling, focus order, and keyboard traps
- Re-test to confirm accessibility fixes
- Collaborate with accessibility, product, and design teams
- Contribute to a global design system
- Frontend: HTML, CSS,
React - Accessibility: Screen readers, keyboard accessibility, assistive technologies
- Standards: WCAG 2.2, ADA
- Experience with accessibility testing tools
- 3–5 years of digital accessibility experience
- Strong developer background (not purely QA)
- Experience modernizing older libraries for accessibility
CPACC preferred (other accessibility certifications acceptable)
