We are seeking an experienced Senior Mainframe Developer to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. This hybrid role requires 2 days a week onsite and focuses on developing critical software solutions, supporting business systems, and troubleshooting production issues. The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of COBOL, CICS, JCL, and DB2, with skills in XML and enterprise data integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement mainframe applications and enhancements

• Develop programs using COBOL, CICS, JCL, and DB2

• Analyze business needs and translate them into technical solutions

• Perform debugging, testing, and system integration activities

• Troubleshoot production issues and resolve defects swiftly

Requirements:

• Strong COBOL, CICS, JCL, and DB2 experience

• Hands-on knowledge of IMS DB/DC and VSAM

• Experience designing complex mainframe apps

• Familiarity with XML and data integration

• Knowledge of SAS applications in the ecosystem
