Role: Technical Architect - Java
Employment: Full Time
Location: Toronto, ON
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
We are seeking a Full Time Technical Architect - Java with strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, APIs, SQL databases, and enterprise application architecture. The ideal candidate will design scalable and secure solutions while providing technical leadership throughout the SDLC
Key Responsibilities- Design end-to-end application architecture using Java technologies and SQL databases
- Define architecture standards, design patterns, coding standards, and development best practices
- Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions
- Design and optimize database schemas, SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models
- Lead architecture reviews, technical discussions, and solution design workshops
- Mentor developers on Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, APIs, and database best practices
- Ensure application performance, scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability
- Review code, identify technical risks, and drive quality improvements
- Design integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, messaging, and third-party systems
- Support cloud-native and microservices-based architecture implementations
- Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, QA teams, and stakeholders
- Prepare architecture documents, technical specifications, and solution roadmaps
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend platform improvements
- Strong Java and enterprise application architecture experience
- Hands-on Spring Boot and Microservices experience
- Strong REST/SOAP API and integration experience
- Advanced SQL and database architecture knowledge
- Experience with cloud-native architectures
- Strong understanding of security, scalability, performance, and reliability
- Excellent technical leadership and mentoring skills
- Strong SDLC, architecture documentation, and stakeholder management experience
