Job Description WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

Join a high-performing team transforming RBC’s Chief Data Office. You will work closely with SMEs, business stakeholders, architects, and senior developers to build and deploy scalable, secure solutions powering next-generation merchant payment capabilities. This role spans both modern full-stack development to AI application architecture, offering a unique opportunity to bridge legacy and cloud-native architectures. WHAT

WILL YOU DO?

Participate in technical analysis and solution design under senior guidance, contributing to sprint planning, estimation, and Agile delivery
Translate business requirements into user stories and technical designs with mentorship from architects and senior developers
Develop and maintain enterprise-grade python microservices, AnuglarJS front-end applications, and RESTful APIs
Build and support cloud-native, containerized, and Linux-based microservice solutions
Deliver solutions using Agile methodologies through CI/CD pipelines with full deployment support
Conduct peer code reviews, unit and integration testing, and participate in all phases of software development
Learn and adopt best practices, security standards, and performance benchmarks for financial-grade systems
Support teams by applying and growing foundational knowledge in Generative AI and LLMs
Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities with excellent communication skills

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Must have:

5+ years of hands-on experience in software development with 3+ years focused on AI/ML and production deployments.
Expert Python proficiency, NodeJS, relational databases, LLM Frameworks (Lang Chain, Lang Fuse), FastAPI
Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs with multi-system integration
Strong exposure to containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and experience implementing development best practices
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing concepts, and Agile delivery practices
Hands on experience with cloud platforms (Open Shift, AWS S3, or Azure), MLOps tolling for monitoring, and comfort working in Linux-based environments
Fast learner who is results-oriented, self-motivated, and effective working both independently and in a team
Demonstrated ability to architect scalable, maintainable systems

Nice-to-have :

Familiarity with Identity/Access Management (Entra) or No

SQL/legacy databases (MongoDB, DB2), Redis
Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects
Familiarity with model governance, compliance, and responsible AI practices
Understanding of MCP
