Winter Site Reliability Engineer Intern

About the opportunity:

We are looking for a motivated Software Developer / Site Reliability Engineer Intern to join our engineering team and work on software reliability, automation, observability, and operational improvements. The role will provide hands‑on experience with enterprise‑scale systems while exploring modern technologies and AI‑powered development tools.

What you’ll get to do:

• Improve system reliability, observability, monitoring, logging, and alerting across engineering services.
• Analyze application and system issues, troubleshoot failures, and help identify root causes.
• Develop automation and tools to reduce manual operational effort and improve engineering efficiency.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and operational workflows.
• Help identify reliability risks and implement improvements to system resilience and performance.
• Build dashboards, metrics, and health checks to improve visibility into system and application health.
• Support production issue investigation and participate in root‑cause analysis and follow‑up improvements.
• Explore and apply AI‑powered development tools and AI agents to improve engineering and operational productivity.
• Work closely with developers, Cloud Operations, and other engineering teams to improve reliability and adoption of engineering solutions.

Skills and experience we value:

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with at least one programming language such as C#, Java, Python.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Interest in SRE, cloud technologies, automation, observability, and distributed systems.
• Willingness to learn, investigate problems, and work collaboratively.

What would really make you stand out:

• Experience with Git, SQL, REST APIs, automated testing, or CI/CD.
• Hands‑on experience using AI coding tools or AI development platforms.
• Experience building AI agents, AI‑powered applications, or automation using LLMs/APIs.
• Personal, academic, or previous internship software development experience.
• Exposure to cloud technologies and modern developer tools.
