Senior .NET Developer

We are seeking a Senior .NET Developer to translate technical system specifications into working, tested applications. The successful candidate will support and maintain existing web applications while developing new web-based initiatives.

This position requires significant experience with Geo Talent development, .NET technologies, database development, Learning Management System modules, and enterprise-level web applications.

The role requires strong technical analysis, application development, troubleshooting, testing, documentation, and knowledge transfer capabilities.

• Translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications.
• Develop detailed programming specifications.
• Write and/or generate code and compile data-driven programs.
• Maintain applications and conduct unit testing.
• Resolve and troubleshoot technical problems arising during the use and operation of software packages.
• Provide technical assistance during implementation, conversion, and migration activities.
• Support and maintain existing web applications.
• Develop new web-based initiatives.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document applications.
• Collaborate with IT professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Apply structured methodologies to the development, design, implementation, and maintenance of applications.

• Conduct design walkthrough sessions with the project team.

• Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act requirements and related regulations and standards.
• Ability to provide user and system documentation as required.

• Experience conducting impact assessments on Oracle E-Business application customizations and extensions.
• Strong conversion experience with Accounts Receivable and Collections modules.
• Strong programming skills with Oracle Database, PL/SQL, SQL, XML, Unix shell scripts, and Oracle Data Integrator.
• Business knowledge of General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Collections, Accounts Payable, and Inventory modules within Oracle E-Business.
• Knowledge of Oracle E-Business table structures related to GL, AR, Collections, AP, INV, and FND.
• Strong knowledge of SQL tuning and partitioned tables.
• Experience and understanding of data warehousing, ETL methodologies, and OBIEE.
• Java and Oracle Application Development Framework experience is considered an asset.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and leadership capabilities to oversee technical quality assurance.
