Frontend Developer
Build the surfaces people actually judge us by: the assessment a franchisee talks their way through, and the intelligence card a franchisor decides on.
Team
Engineering Type
Full-time Location
Remote — anywhere with 4 hours overlap with Eastern Time
Two audiences, opposite needs. A franchisee is being measured and needs the experience to feel fair and unhurried. A franchisor is deciding whether to spend a credit and needs density, evidence and speed. Both run on the same design system.
You will care about the things that do not show up in a ticket: whether a gate is enforced server-side or merely blurred, whether a control is 24px, whether a number is legible at 3.4:1. We hold a fairly high bar on that and would like someone who raises it.
What you will do- Build product surfaces in React and Type Script, from the design tokens up
- Own the design system in practice — components, tokens, and the discipline to use them
- Make the assessment feel like a conversation rather than a form
- Hold the accessibility line: contrast, target size, keyboard, reduced motion
- Push back when a design would be dishonest about what the product does
- Strong React and Type Script, and taste you can argue for
- You write CSS deliberately, and can explain why a value is what it is
- You have shipped something you were responsible for after launch
- Accessibility is a habit rather than a checklist you run at the end
- You notice when two designs are fighting on one page
- Data visualisation, or anything where a number has to be read correctly
- You have owned a design system that other people had to live with
- Experience with Tan Stack Router, Tailwind, or shadcn/Base UI
The stack
- React
- Type Script
- Vite
- Tan Stack Router
- Tailwind
Remote
This role is fully remote. We care about overlap, not postcode — four hours with Eastern Time is enough.
