Elevate your engineering career as a Senior Software Engineer with Lyft's Foundational Infrastructure & Networking team. Leverage your skills in service mesh, cloud networking, and performance optimization in a hybrid work model.
At Lyft, you will own key components of core routing and control planes critical to our microservices. This IC role offers a unique opportunity to enhance thousands of rides daily through architecture and systems design. You'll bring extensive production systems experience to optimize and scale networking capabilities using technologies like Envoy Proxy and AWS.
Key Responsibilities:
• Architect and optimize our service mesh and edge routing capabilities
• Enhance load-balancing algorithms across high-concurrency data
• Operationalize telemetry and metrics across the networking stack
• Lead complex technical investigations in production
• Mentor engineers through technical vision and incident reviews
Requirements:
• 6+ years of production systems experience
• Deep expertise in cloud networking and protocols
• Hands-on experience with proxy and service mesh technologies
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and Infrastructure-as-Code
• Proven troubleshooting skills in distributed systems
