Cognizant is looking for a Senior Generative AI Engineer with over 7 years of experience in software engineering and full stack development. You will design and deploy enterprise applications focused on Generative AI solutions, collaborate with AI data scientists, and drive scalability through innovative engineering practices. This hybrid role requires 4 days a week in the Toronto office.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and deliver scalable full stack applications
• Build Generative AI frameworks and LLM-powered apps
• Develop backend services, REST APIs, and microservices
• Collaborate with AI data scientists and product owners
• Ensure technical excellence through documentation and best practices
Requirements:
• 7+ years in software development, Java or Python expertise
• Strong knowledge of React and modern frontend development
• Experience with Generative AI and LLM integrations
• Familiar with AI tools and cloud platforms (Open Shift, Kubernetes)
• PostgreSQL expertise in schema design and performance tuning
