Position: Senior Software Developer - ERP / Case Management
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer - ERP / Case Management with specialized expertise in Oracle People Soft Human Capital Management (HCM) to deliver digital solutions across large-scale enterprise environments. In this role, you will work within an Agile, multi-disciplinary team to design, build, test, and maintain digital workflows, self-service capabilities, and business process automation solutions. Leveraging deep technical expertise in People Soft HCM modules (Absence Management, Time & Labour, Benefits, and Payroll), People Tools, Fluid UI, and Oracle database management, you will modernize legacy administrative interfaces, build custom dashboards, and integrate complex ERP components across the full software development lifecycle.

Duration: 9-month contract.

Responsibilities
People Soft HCM Application Development:
Design, code, configure, and maintain custom applications and system modifications using People Tools, Application Designer, People Code, Application Engine, Component Interface, Integration Broker, SQR, and BI Publisher.

Fluid UI & Interface Modernization:
Transition classic pages to Fluid UI interfaces, configuring custom navigation, tiles, interactive dashboards, Activity Guides, and role-based security controls.

Module Configuration & Integration:
Support core People Soft HCM modules—including Absence Management, Time & Labour, Benefits, and Payroll—implementing packaged application integrations and automated business workflows.

Data Visualization & Dashboard Engineering:
Build interactive dashboards, operational reports, and data visualizations that empower business leaders to explore workforce analytics and uncover actionable insights.

Database Administration & Scripting:
Leverage Oracle database management systems and application database administration principles to support data modeling, data movement, and Linux shell scripting.

System Maintenance & Tooling:
Utilize enterprise People Soft tools, including People Soft Update Manager (PUM), Change Assistant, Data Mover, and security administration controls to manage system updates and environment stability.

Testing, Technical Support & Code Walkthroughs:
Perform unit testing, develop detailed technical specifications, support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), analyze defects, and conduct test walkthroughs with business leads.

Collaboration:

Actively participate in Agile team ceremonies, collaborating with solution designers, systems analysts, and cross-functional leads to deliver iterative software enhancements.

Qualifications
People Soft HCM Module Expertise:
Proven, hands-on experience in People Soft HCM development, with specialized knowledge of Absence Management, Time & Labour, Benefits, and Payroll modules (Strictly Required).

People Soft Development Tools:
In-depth expertise using Application Designer, People Code, Application Engine, Component Interface, Integration Broker, SQR, and BI Publisher (Strictly Required).

Fluid UI & Modern Navigation:
Demonstrated experience in Fluid UI development, including configuring tiles, navigation collections, activity guides, and role-based security (Strictly Required).

People Soft Administration Tools:
Experience utilizing People Soft Update Manager (PUM), Change Assistant, Data Mover, and People Soft security frameworks (Strictly Required).

Oracle Database Management:
Solid knowledge of Oracle Database Management Systems (DBMS) and application database administration principles (Strictly Required).

Testing & Technical Documentation:
Proven track record executing unit testing, authoring technical specs, supporting SIT/UAT, and conducting technical code reviews (Strictly Required).

Nice-to-Have Assets:
Prior software development experience within an Ontario Public Service (OPS) or broader public sector environment.
