Job Description:

AI Bot Developer / Conversational AI Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AI Bot Developer / Conversational AI Engineer to join an active AI initiative and help design, build, and deploy AI-powered conversational solutions.

This is a hands-on development role ideal for someone with recent experience building chatbots, virtual assistants, or AI agents using Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs). The successful candidate will be comfortable owning solutions from requirements through development, integration, testing, and deployment, with the ability to contribute quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy AI-powered chatbots, virtual assistants, and conversational AI solutions.
  • Build conversational workflows and automate business processes using Generative AI and LLM technologies.
  • Develop integrations between AI solutions and enterprise applications, REST APIs, databases, and backend systems.
  • Create, test, and optimize prompts to improve accuracy, relevance, and overall user experience.
  • Evaluate AI model responses and continuously improve conversation flows and application performance.
  • Leverage cloud-based AI technologies within AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Support deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of AI solutions.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Developers, Architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into working solutions.
  • Support testing, production deployments, technical documentation, and ongoing enhancements.
  • Independently develop and deliver solutions with minimal ramp-up.
    • Required Qualifications
  • 5–8+ years of experience in software development, automation, AI solution development, or a related technical field.
  • Recent hands-on experience developing AI bots, virtual assistants, AI agents, or Conversational AI solutions
    .
  • Experience independently developing and delivering AI solutions in production or enterprise environments.
  • Experience with AWS AI services
    , such as Amazon Bedrock, Lex, or Sage Maker, and/or Google Cloud AI / Vertex AI
    .
  • Strong understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, Prompt Engineering, and NLP concepts
    .
  • Experience designing conversational workflows, chatbot use cases, and prompt strategies.
  • Experience integrating AI solutions with REST APIs, databases, backend systems, and enterprise applications.
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute quickly within an active development environment.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment.
    • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Happy Robot Framework
    .
  • Strong Python development experience.
  • Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
  • Experience working with vector databases and embeddings.
  • Experience with AI orchestration or agent frameworks.
  • Knowledge of AI testing, evaluation, guardrails, and responsible AI practices.
  • Cloud-native application development experience.
    • Ideal Candidate

    The ideal candidate is a hands-on AI developer with current, real-world experience delivering Conversational AI or AI bot solutions. You should be comfortable taking an AI use case from initial requirements through development, integration, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.

    We are particularly interested in candidates who enjoy building and troubleshooting solutions directly, can work independently, and are comfortable contributing to an active AI initiative with minimal ramp-up.
