About Olympia Sports Camp

Olympia’s Outdoor Center serves a variety of clients from school groups to sports teams and corporate groups. We strive to provide a physical & emotionally safe environment so that participants are able to learn positive attitudes skills & social behavior. Olympia’s staff are expected to model values such as caring, cooperation, enthusiasm, integrity, self- leadership, commitment & teamwork.

Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Set an example of how to be an excellent Outdoor Education Instructor at Olympia
  • Exemplify and uphold Olympia’s core values of safety, teamwork, and respect at all times
  • Create a positive and uplifting environment for all staff
  • Periodic inspections of all challenge course and ropes elements
  • Staff Management
  • Assist with initial and on-going staff training

    • Qualifications

    Required:

  • Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C
  • Clean Police Record Check
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Ability to work long hours
  • Experience working with youth in a camp setting
  • ACCT Level 2 Certification or Hours to Obtain

    • Preferred:

  • G Licence and a clean driving record
  • Experience working at an outdoor education centre
