Glen Eagle Golf Club is a picturesque 27-hole public golf course and event facility established in 1962 and located about 30 minutes northwest of Toronto in Caledon, Ontario. As we continue to elevate our golf operations and expand our instructional programming, we are seeking an energetic, motivated Apprentice Golf Professional with a strong passion for teaching, junior player development, and developing their management skills.

This is a hands‑on leadership role ideal for an ambitious PGA of Canada Apprentice who wants to meaningfully contribute to a high‑volume public facility while building and growing a thriving instructional business.

Job Summary
  • Junior Golf Camp leadership and development
  • Private and group instruction including moments with our community leagues and tournament events
  • Practice facility evolution
  • Elevating customer service standards across the golf operation
  • Leading daily golf operations with the Head Professional and General Manager to ensure an exceptional golfer experience
  • Building golf ops leadership experience, teach, build programs, and grow professionally within a forward‑thinking golf operation
Responsibilities Primary Responsibilities – Golf Operations Leadership
  • Participate in leadership of pro shop and daily golf operations
  • Support tee sheet management and golfer experience
  • Maintain practice facility standards and organization
  • Mentor and support Golf Operations staff
  • Represent Glen Eagle with professionalism, hospitality, and enthusiasm
  • Lead by example in delivering a consistent, elevated customer experience
Secondary Responsibilities – Teaching & Player Development
  • Play a leadership role in Glen Eagle’s 8‑week Junior Golf Camp program running through July and August
  • Deliver engaging instruction in private, semi‑private, and group formats
  • Teach fundamental skills, rules, and course etiquette to players of all ages
  • Lead junior drills, games, and on‑course learning experiences
  • Communicate professionally and proactively with parents and lesson clients
  • Assist in the development and growth of instructional clinics, leagues, and player development initiatives
  • Contribute ideas to evolve and expand Glen Eagle’s practice facility programming
Qualifications
  • PGA of Canada Apprentice status (or actively pursuing membership)
  • A genuine passion for teaching and junior golf development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Leadership presence and a team‑oriented mindset
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced public golf environment
  • Experience with Tee‑On, Tagmarshal, or similar golf software considered an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
Additional Requirements
  • Completion of Grade 12 (post‑secondary education in Golf Management or related field is an asset)
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, and peak season scheduling
Compensation
  • $750–$850 / wk
  • Drive your own portfolio of lessons business outside of work hours; retain 80% of lessons revenue
