AZ Driver

As an AZ Driver, you’ll be responsible for short-haul, local, and regional deliveries of steel to customers across Ontario. You’ll operate manual-transmission straight and articulated trucks to transport rebar and structural steel safely and efficiently.

• Operate and drive manual-transmission straight and articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Haul structural and reinforcing steel on flatbed trailers
• Secure, tarp, and ensure the safety and stability of all cargo
• Inspect vehicle condition, including tires, lights, brakes, and load securement
• Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness, reporting any issues promptly
• Complete and maintain accurate driver logbooks, inspection reports, and accident/incident reports

• Valid AZ License /Air brake (Z) endorsement
• Experience operating manual-transmission trucks, preferably with flatbed and steel hauling
• Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration (CVOR) Certificate
• Air Brake Adjustment Certificate
• Criminal record check, driving record check, medical exam, drug test
• Sound knowledge of safe driving practices
• Previous experience working in an industrial environment is an asset
• Previous experience in machine operation is preferred

$31.00/hr
