Flight Attendant
Job Summary
Reporting to the Director or Manager, Inflight Services, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring the safety and well‑being of Porter passengers while upholding the Flying Refined brand promise. The base of assignment and fleet type (Toronto Pearson YYZ or Toronto Billy Bishop YTZ) will be determined by the company based on operational requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities- Ensure the safety of all passengers.
- Provide effortless, friendly and attentive service to ensure passenger comfort.
- Adhere to the standard operating procedures from training, in accordance with Transport Canada and Porter policies.
- Perform the physical duties of a flight attendant, such as lifting weights up to 50 lb, standing for long periods, and assisting passengers in emergencies.
- Handle unforeseen operational and passenger situations with tact.
- Actively monitor the overall condition of the aircraft cabin and make necessary adjustments to maintain passenger safety or improve their experience.

- Establish and maintain positive relationships with team members.
- Actively participate in Porter's safety management system, including reporting hazards and incidents; understand, comply with, and promote the company's safety policy.

- Hold a valid Canadian passport or a valid international passport and a current U.S. crew member visa (C‑1/D).
- Be at least 19 years of age at the time of employment.
- High school diploma.
- Mandatory proficiency in both French and English.
- At least two years of public‑facing customer service experience.
- Ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC/CIZR) and pass the company's background check process.
- Ability to meet required medical standards (including alcohol and drug screening) and all physical requirements of the role.
- Successful completion of a full‑time five to six week training program with 100% attendance and passing all written and practical assessments.
- Strong communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills, a safety‑oriented mindset and the ability to work without supervision.
- Be able to work a reserve rotating schedule that includes weekends, holidays, evenings and nights. Schedules and days off are assigned based on seniority through an online bidding system.
- Must be able to report to the assigned base airport within two hours of notice for flight duties.
