Rookie Sniper Team Leader – Novice Snow Plow Driver

Seasonal work in the Greater Toronto Area. Pay is $25–$29 per hour with a performance bonus and 8% vacation pay. Guaranteed minimum 60 hours per month.

Monster Plowing Company is hiring beginner-level crew leaders and snow plow drivers to work during the winter season. The role is focused exclusively on snow plow and salting operations, with no other yard work or unrelated tasks. Training is provided as part of the contract, and training runs are scheduled during periods without snow.

• Lead a small crew (1–3 people) in snow plowing and salting operations across Toronto's commercial and residential properties.
• Operate snow plow trucks with V‑box spreaders, ensuring safe and efficient snow removal.
• Monitor phone alerts 24/7 and respond to dispatch for weather events.
• Ensure quality control, adherence to safety procedures, and timely completion of work.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and assist with crew scheduling when needed.
• Carry out physical tasks such as shoveling, lifting up to 50 lbs, and operating equipment.

• Minimum 2 years of outdoor labor experience requiring medium to heavy physical effort.
• Valid G‑level driver’s licence with at least 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• Clean driver’s abstract (one minor infraction acceptable).
• Must live within 45 minutes of either the East or West yard in Toronto.
• Flexible availability for early morning, late night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Excellent winter driving skills in automatic transmission vehicles and good communication skills.
• Comfortable with outdoor work in cold weather and other adverse conditions.

• $25–$29 per hour, based on experience and performance.
• Monthly minimum 60 hours guaranteed, plus standby pay of 30 hours per pay period if no snow.
• Performance bonus up to $500 or more at season’s end.
• 8% vacation pay added to every paycheck.
• Extended six‑month contract (Nov 1 – Apr 30) with on‑call work only during weather events.
• No paperwork; modern equipment with electronic logging.

• On‑call availability 24/7 for snow events, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Responsibility to be reachable and ready to work at short notice.
• Yard locations available in both the East and West parts of Toronto.
