Responsible for scheduling and coordinating our team of school bus drivers, this position is tailor‑made for an industry professional with a focus on customer service and passenger satisfaction.

The shift for this position is Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.

The shift for this position is Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.

$23.00 per hour

• Previous dispatch experience required, preferably in the school bus industry
• Operations experience considered an asset
• Good knowledge of Toronto city roadways
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally while exhibiting confidentiality and diplomacy
• Expertise in organizational planning and problem solving
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

• Ensure that drivers and staff are treated in a fair and consistent manner using the guidelines and rules
• Ensure school routes are covered in an efficient and fair manner
• Set up and input data accurately for driver payroll for the yard’s assigned routes
• Assist in answering public and driver inquiries and finding solutions to concerns
• Ensure all required paperwork/requests is completed in an accurate and timely manner
• Create/improve existing Operations systems
• Have a basic understanding of the school bus fleet
• Keep appropriate staff informed of any major issues, changes, concerns etc. in an expedient fashion
