Forklift Operator​/Material Handler in Thornhill

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Material Handler / Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team in Vaughan! The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently move, locate, and stack products within the warehouse. This role is crucial for maintaining smooth operations in our distribution center and ensuring that all products are handled with care and precision.

Pay Range: $22.15 – 22.65/HR depending on shift time

Additional pay: Overtime pay

Schedule
:8 hour shift;
Monday to Friday

• Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
• Perform order picking tasks to prepare items for shipment, ensuring accuracy in fulfilling orders.
• Utilize a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory levels and manage stock locations.
• Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and other equipment to ensure they are in safe working condition.
• Assist with heavy lifting and moving of products, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and efficient warehouse environment.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while operating equipment and handling materials.

• Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within warehouse distribution.
• Proven experience operating in narrow aisles.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
• Basic math skills for inventory management and order processing.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems is preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the job.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
• Valid forklift licenses:
  Counter Balance, Raymond & Crown Reach, Order Picker, Dock Stocker and FALL ARREST – mandatory
