Job Description

This role involves operating a reach truck in a large automotive parts warehouse to pick and prepare orders for shipment to dealerships and individual customers. You will handle a variety of parts such as car batteries, brake components, and other items commonly used by mechanics, while supporting general warehouse operations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to pick automotive parts from warehouse racks.
• Use an RF scanner to locate, scan, and confirm items for customer orders.
• Accurately pick, stage, and prepare orders for shipment to dealerships and individual customers.
• Handle and move automotive parts such as car batteries, brake parts, and other mechanical components.
• Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs on a regular basis while maintaining safe lifting techniques.
• Perform general warehouse duties, including inventory handling and miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with warehouse standards.
• Follow all safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines at all times.

Essential Skills

• Valid reach truck license with demonstrated experience operating a reach truck in a warehouse environment.
• Proven experience with order picking in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
• Hands-on experience operating forklifts for material handling.
• Proficiency using RF scanners for order picking and inventory tracking.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate picking and order fulfillment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience working with automotive parts or in a parts distribution environment.
• Familiarity with inventory processes and basic warehouse documentation.
• Comfort working around multiple forklifts and order pickers in a busy warehouse.
• Reliable work habits, including punctuality and consistent attendance.

Work Environment

You will use equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, and RF scanners to complete daily tasks in a busy, fast-paced setting where safety and awareness of surroundings are essential.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Toronto, ON.

The pay range for this position is $20.15 - $20.15/hr.
