Warehouse Associate (Non-Perishable) Job Description

This role involves accurately selecting and building non-perishable orders in a high-volume warehouse using a voice-activated system and a motorized double pallet jack. You will pick products, organize them on pallets, and prepare them for shipment while working efficiently and safely in a fast-paced, cold environment.

• Select orders using a voice‑activated headset system and follow all verbal and written instructions accurately.
• Operate a motorized double pallet jack (walkie rider) to transport pallets throughout the warehouse.
• Build stable and well‑organized pallets by picking orders and placing items in an orderly and secure manner.
• Lift and move products weighing up to 70 lbs within the power zone, with frequent lifting of 30–40 lbs and consistent lifting around 50 lbs.
• Perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while picking and stacking products.
• Work efficiently in a very fast‑paced environment while maintaining accuracy and productivity standards.
• Communicate clearly in English to coordinate with team members and respond to system prompts.
• Follow all safety procedures when operating equipment and moving through a busy warehouse with multiple pallet jacks in motion.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient operations.
• Adapt to working in a cold environment while performing all assigned tasks.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently and safely, with occasional lifting up to 70 lbs within the power zone.
• Ability to follow written instructions and verbal instructions accurately.
• Experience working in a warehouse or similar environment involving order selection and material handling.
• Ability to operate or quickly learn to operate a motorized double pallet jack (walkie rider).
• Comfort working in a cold warehouse environment for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to communicate and comprehend English to follow voice‑directed picking and safety instructions.
• Capability to perform frequent bending, twisting, and physical activity in a fast‑paced setting.

• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Previous pallet jack or walkie rider experience.
• Experience with order picking using voice‑activated or similar systems.
• Familiarity with forklifts or other warehouse equipment is an asset.

The role is based in a large warehouse facility of approximately 250,000 to 400,000 square feet, dedicated to non-perishable goods. The environment is very fast paced, with a high level of activity and many pallet jacks moving throughout the aisles, creating a busy, energetic atmosphere. Over 200 employees work in the facility, and the noise level can be loud due to equipment and ongoing operations.

You will work in a cold environment and must be comfortable with lower temperatures throughout your shift. The position requires frequent physical activity, including walking, bending, twisting, and lifting, while operating motorized double pallet jacks and using voice‑activated headsets to pick orders.

This is a Permanent position based out of Toronto, ON.

The pay range for this position is $48,880.00 - $48,880.00/yr.
