* ** Job Description*
* The Warehouse Associate works in a refrigerated distribution center, accurately selecting orders using a voice-activated headset system and operating a motorized double pallet jack. This role involves building stable, well-organized pallets, frequent lifting, bending, and twisting, and working efficiently in a fast-paced, cold environment while maintaining safety and accuracy standards.

** Responsibilities*
* Select customer orders using a voice-activated headset system, following all verbal and written instructions accurately.
Operate a motorized double pallet jack (walkie rider) safely to move through the warehouse and transport products.
Build stable and organized pallets by picking orders and placing products in a secure, logical manner for transport.
Lift, carry, and move cases weighing up to 70 lbs, with frequent lifting in the 30u lb range, while maintaining safe lifting techniques.
Perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching to pick items from various heights and locations.
Work efficiently in a very fast-paced environment to meet productivity and accuracy targets.
Handle refrigerated products such as meats, cheeses, fruits, and vegetables with care to maintain product quality.
Maintain awareness of surroundings in a busy warehouse with many pallet jacks and coworkers operating in the same area.
Communicate clearly in English to understand instructions, coordinate with team members, and report any issues or safety concerns.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including equipment operation rules and cold-environment best practices.
Keep the work area organized and free of hazards to support a safe and efficient operation.

** Essential Skills*
* Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently and safely, with capability to lift up to 70 lbs within a safe power zone.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Comfort working in a cold environment at approximately 0 degrees Celsius for the duration of the shift.
Ability to perform frequent bending, twisting, and physical activity in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
Ability to communicate and comprehend English to follow directions and safety instructions.

Experience with warehouse operations, including order picking, is strongly preferred.
Experience operating pallet jacks, especially motorized double pallet jacks (walkie riders), is strongly preferred.

Skills & Qualifications *
* Previous experience working in a warehouse environment.
Previous pallet jack operation experience, including walkie riders or similar equipment.
General familiarity with order picking processes in a distribution center.
Comfort working around forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Willingness to adapt to a loud, high-traffic warehouse with many employees and moving equipment.

The facility is very fast-paced and can be loud, with over 200 employees working on the floor and pallet jacks and other equipment moving continuously, creating a busy atmosphere.

You will regularly use a voice-activated headset system for order selection and operate a motorized double pallet jack (walkie rider) to move through the aisles. The environment demands constant attention to safety due to frequent equipment traffic and ongoing order picking activity.
