My client is seeking an experienced and highly organized Warehouse Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the warehouse and inventory systems. This role is ideal for someone with strong warehouse and inventory management experience in a related industry such as building materials, architectural products, industrial supply, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, millwork, fasteners, construction supply, or hardware distribution.

The successful candidate will play a key role in improving warehouse organization, implementing inventory processes, supporting customer pickups, and coordinating daily deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Organization & Operations

  • Maintain a clean, organized, efficient, and safe warehouse environment
  • Develop and maintain systems to ensure inventory is properly labelled, stored, and easily accessible
  • Optimize warehouse layout and storage systems to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Oversee receiving, put‑away, picking, packing, and shipping functions
  • Ensure all incoming and outgoing inventory is properly tracked and documented

Inventory Management

  • Assist with the implementation and ongoing management of a new inventory management system integrated with the company’s ERP
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts and inventory audits
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Establish and maintain inventory procedures and best practices
  • Work closely with management to improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiency

Delivery & Logistics Coordination

  • Coordinate and manage the daily schedule for the company delivery driver
  • Organize delivery routes and priorities to ensure timely customer deliveries
  • Communicate with customers and internal staff regarding delivery timing and order readiness
  • Assist with shipping and freight coordination when required

Customer Service & Team Support

  • Assist customers and contractors at the warehouse pickup counter as needed
  • Ensure orders are accurately prepared and ready for customer pickup
  • Work collaboratively with sales and office staff to ensure smooth order fulfillment
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service

Leadership & Accountability

  • Take ownership of warehouse operations and continuously identify opportunities for improvement
  • Lead, coach, and oversee warehouse staff as the company grows
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and workplace safety standards
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 5+ years of warehouse management or warehouse supervisory experience
  • Experience in a related industry such as hardware, construction supply, industrial distribution, building materials, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, millwork, or similar sectors preferred
  • Strong organizational and inventory control skills
  • Experience working with inventory management software and warehouse systems
  • Experience with Quick Books Online or similar ERP/inventory systems is considered an asset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapid‑paced environment
  • Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
  • Comfortable interacting with customers, contractors, suppliers, and delivery personnel
  • Forklift experience/certification is considered an asset
  • Valid Ontario driver’s licence preferred
