Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisors, the Shipping coordinator will provide support to the Warehouse department and its daily logistical activities. The Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for the overall administrative and coordination of shipping and receiving.

- Assist with shipping activities, including scheduling, coordinating Bill of Lading (BOLs) receipt, and tracking shipments.
- Enter Orders in the Warehouse Management system.
- Verify orders from WMS, BOLs and inventory locations.
- Complete and submit all necessary documentation for exporting products.
- Organize and manage shipping and receiving products.
- Coordinate and manage schedules for fleets and equipment.
- Maintain finished goods customers’ orders to ensure no expiry products.
- Issue the return merchandise authorization as required.
- Assist with inventory tracking such as inventory counts and monitoring inventory rotations.
- Maintain and file all accurate records, reports, work orders and logs relative to the warehouse department.
- Ensure basic maintenance standards and compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Provide support for inbound and outbound loads and shipments.
- Liaise with dispatch and drivers regarding their routes and loads.
- Provide customer service support to visitors, contractors and drivers.
- Resolve any shipping and receiving issues or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure coordinated shipments meet requirements and delivery deadlines.
- High School Diploma, GED or other equivalent education.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in shipping and receiving, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Thorough knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.
- Experience working in food manufacturing industry (an asset).
- Knowledge occupational health and safety, and quality standards (an asset).
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, WMS, and other integrated computer software.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills both verbal and written.
- Relationship building skills, with the ability to collaborate with others in a team environment.
- Must follow direction and work well with or without supervision.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent planning, analytical and organizational skills.
- Organized with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- May be required to lift approximately 30-40 lbs. periodically.
