About Island Gold District: Alamos Gold’s Island Gold District will become one of the largest and lowest-cost gold mines in Canada. Role Overview: The Warehouse Labourer will be responsible for delivering daily samples to Wawa and providing other pick-up and delivery services as required. Will also assist warehouse team with shipping, receiving, and inventory counts, and other warehouse duties as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for ensuring the daily samples are delivered to Wawa from the mine site in a timely manner.
  • Pick up mail daily and packages from local business as required.
  • Assist warehouse team with receiving, issuing, and shipping of parts and materials.
  • Assist with special projects in the warehouse.
  • Conduct cycle counts.
  • Operate forklift on a regular basis.
  • Follow established policies and procedures related to receiving parts and materials and comply with established methodologies and quality standards.
Qualifications
  • High‑school graduation.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  • Basic knowledge of shipping and warehouse procedures and regulations.
  • Must be able to work autonomously while exercising sound judgement.
  • Must have a valid Ontario G class driver’s license.
  • Must be able to operate forklifts or other equipment as required.
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather and conditions.
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate.
Working Conditions

Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather and conditions. This will be a 7/7 rotation.

Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding job where the incumbent is required to stand or sit for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects on a regular basis, do repetitive tasks with few breaks, and so forth.

The schedule for this position is based in a camp operation working on a 7/7 rotation schedule with flights provided from Sudbury, Toronto, and Rouyn‑Noranda.
