Job Description:

The AVP, Digital Platform Capabilities, Transaction Banking leads the strategy, development, and scaling of core digital platforms that power client-facing transaction banking services. This role defines and executes a multi-year roadmap to deliver secure, scalable, and client-centric capabilities across payments, cash management, liquidity, trade finance, and API/embedded banking.

Partnering across Product, Technology, Operations, and Control functions, this leader drives platform modernization—shifting toward modular, reusable services—and ensures the foundational capabilities are in place to enable seamless digital client journeys. The role also advances enterprise connectivity across file, host-to-host, ERP, and API integrations to meet clients where they operate.

Accountabilities The executive AVP role is responsible defining, building and scaling the digital platform capabilities that power client-facing transactions banking services. This executive role leads strategy, product capability development, platform modernization, and cross-functional execution across payments, cash management, liquidity, trade finance, APIs channels and embedded banking experiences.

Partners closely with Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Sales, Corporate/Commercial/institutional deliver scalable, secure and client centric digital solutions

Own the platform capability product strategy and multi-year roadmap across all foundational capability domains, with accountability for sequencing the investment decisions to advance both near-term value creation and long-term platform investments.

Defines what platform capabilities get built, in what order, and to what standard – moving the organization from monolithic delivery toward modular, reusable services.

Lead delivery of the core platform foundation, ensuring capability readiness that enables client journey execution across all digital channels and product enablement.

Establish a reusable service model – defining how platform capabilities are consumed across digital journeys and channels, and governing against point-in-time or channel specific builds.

Partner with Product Factory leads to translate client and business requirements into platform capability decisions, maintaining clear separation between capability strategy and feature delivery

Drive connectivity maturity across File, H2H, ERP and API – expanding TD's ability to meet clients where they operate

Education & Experience
15+ years experience in transaction banking, digital banking platforms, payments or financial technology

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Technology, Engineering or related discipline. MBA or advanced degree preferred

Other Qualifications/Skills/

Experience:

Deep understanding of transaction banking products and operations, corporate digital channels, payments ecosystems and standards, API platforms and integrated architectures
