Administrator – Medical Centre
Contract: Fixed term Contract – 5 months maternity leave cover
Type of Employment: Full Time
Salary: £24,852.65 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07:30 – 17:00
Location: HMS Raleigh, Trevol Road, Torpoint, Cornwall, England, PL11 2PD
Position OverviewAn excellent opportunity has arisen to join an experienced and versatile team delivering first‑class administrative services to world‑class Armed Forces personnel. This fixed‑term contract covers maternity leave at the Medical Centre, HMS Raleigh.
Main Responsibilities- Provide a dedicated day‑to‑day focal point for medical services administration, including direct customer interface and liaison with clinical staff.
- Arrange and coordinate Medical Centre, hospital and review board appointments.
- Maintain and protect patient‑related data.
- Data capture and input, updating the medical administration system.
- Ensure all activities comply with current Health and Safety Regulations and the General Data Protection Regulations.
- Undertake any additional tasks as determined by the Line Manager, including support/cover for other staff.
- Administration experience with good organisational and motivational skills and a high degree of integrity.
- Proven track record of delivering quality administration and service with customer‑facing experience.
- Persuasive and credible verbal and written communication skills.
- IT literate with good working knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Knowledge of MOD medical administration applications and systems (desirable).
- Proactive approach and ability to embrace and lead on change.
- Ability to manage short‑notice changes to requirements and deadlines.
- Good standard of education.
- MOD security clearance and DBS Standard required; proof of right to work in UK essential.
- Required to wear approved company workwear.
