Nursing Associate – Torressa

We are looking for motivated practitioners to join our Community Nursing Team in Cornwall. The successful candidate will provide high‑quality care, particularly to people approaching the end of life, and will play a key role in coordinating, supervising, and delegating work to Health Care Assistants.

Eligibility

This role is open only to current employees of the following NHS organisations:

  • Cornwall Foundation Trust
  • Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust
  • Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board
Responsibilities
  • Work with Registered Community Nurses and the multi‑professional team to provide and monitor care and contribute to ongoing assessment.
  • Monitor the condition and health needs of people within the caseload on a continual basis.
  • Organise patients on the end‑of‑life or Continuing Care at Home caseload.
  • Coordinate and delegate work to Health Care Assistants and organise other resources such as equipment.
  • Provide supervision, teaching and coaching to Health Care Assistants and other team members.
  • Review patients on the caseload and adjust care plans as required.
Person Specification Qualifications
  • Nursing Associate Foundation Degree
  • NMC registration
  • Previous experience working within a health or care setting
Skills and Aptitude
  • Ability to participate in reflective practice and clinical supervision activities
  • Ability to organise and prioritise own delegated workload, recognising safe delegation to colleagues, carers and family members
  • Ability to manage the non‑routine and unpredictable nature of workload and individual patient contact
Knowledge and Abilities
  • Understanding of the Nursing Associate role within the nursing and interdisciplinary team and how it can contribute to service development
  • Understands and acts in line with NMC professional standards, including The Code
  • Knowledge of NMC professional revalidation requirements

Contract & Remuneration

Permanent – £28,392 to £31,157 per annum (pro rata)
