A well-established manufacturing business in Mid Devon is seeking an experienced Interim Systems Accountant to support a major finance systems implementation project and drive ongoing process improvements across the organisation. Working closely with the Financial Controller and senior finance leadership team, you will play a key role in the implementation and optimisation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ensuring the system delivers maximum value to the business.
Key Responsibilities- Support the implementation and configuration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Work alongside finance and operational stakeholders to ensure business requirements are accurately reflected within the system
- Engage in system testing, including UAT and process validation
- Identify and resolve issues throughout the implementation process
- Provide support and training to end users where required
- Act as a key finance systems contact during the go-live phase
- Drive post-implementation optimisation, identifying opportunities to improve reporting, controls and business processes
- Support wider finance transformation and continuous improvement projects across the business
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a Systems Accountant, Finance Systems, Finance Transformation or Project Accountant role
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Proven track record of supporting ERP implementations, upgrades or optimisation projects
- Experience of systems testing, process mapping and stakeholder engagement
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across finance, operations and senior leadership teams
- Manufacturing sector experience would be preferred
