Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist/Ward Clerk to join our administrative team supporting the chemotherapy day unit and Turner ward at Torbay Hospital.
Working with colleagues in a friendly and supportive team where everyone has the opportunity to be the best they can be and contribute to high-quality service given to Cancer patients attending the Ricky Grant Day Unit and Turner Ward.
Responsibilities- Provide administrative support including clinic preparation of hospital notes, appointments, reception, ward clerk duties and telephone calls on a rotational basis, covering both Ricky Grant Day Unit and Turner Ward.
- Work within an eight week rota to include some weekends and bank holidays; working hours are 30 hrs per week, from 08:00 to 18:00.
- Support the delivery of an effective, patient orientated, and values led service to Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust.
- Educated to GCSE level with IT experience and proven experience in an administrative role.
- Attention to detail, accurate keyboard skills, and good customer care skills with a pleasant manner to patients and staff.
- Knowledge of hospital systems would be of benefit.
