Dermatology Specialty Doctor

Applicants are invited to apply for a speciality doctor post in Dermatology. The post is for 8 PAs but applications for flexible working are welcome. We are seeking an enthusiastic and resilient speciality doctor in dermatology.

The successful applicant would be joining a forward looking, expanding dermatology team, who are looking at innovative ways to address the rising local demand across Torbay & South Devon.

The job would involve a varied timetable including skin cancer clinics, skin surgery and medical dermatology. The successful applicant would be working alongside our other specialist registrar. Our five consultants will provide day to day supervision as well as a regular teaching program. The candidate will be encouraged to engage with regional and national dermatology training events and educational meetings. The post has no out of hours on‑call requirements.

• Applicants must be fully registered with GMC, hold a licence to practice and have completed Core Specialty training.
• Ideally already have some experience in Dermatology at secondary care level.

We are looking for a committed, team player who is keen to learn. Flexible working is welcome.

• Torbay hospital is geographically close to Exeter and networks closely with colleagues at Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, both in Plastic Surgery and Dermatology.
• Torbay has a weekly LSMDT and SSMDT discussion takes place in Exeter.
• Monthly regional Dermatology meetings and twice a month local complex cases clinic are timetabled.
