EF Torquay Summer School – Academic Coordinator (Summer 2026)
Full‑time, 5 days a week, fixed‑term contract from June to August 2026. Accommodation is available but necessary.
Position OverviewEF Torquay Summer School seeks an organized and proactive Academic Coordinator to deliver a high‑quality academic experience for students in a dynamic international environment.
Responsibilities- Oversee class scheduling and student timetabling.
- Assist with placement testing and student intake processes.
- Monitor student attendance and ensure policy compliance.
- Support teachers with academic administration and classroom resources.
- Coordinate weekly academic reports and ensure students receive certificates.
- Assist students with academic queries and exam bookings.
- Maintain accurate academic records and data management.
- Cover classes for absent teachers.
- Work closely with the Academic Manager and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Available between June and August 2026.
- TEFL or CELTA (preferred) qualified.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Sensitive to the needs of international students.
- Confident in teaching young learners (13‑17).
- Demonstrates a high level of customer service.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and internal databases.
- All offers subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references.
- Right to work in the UK at commencement of employment.
- C2 level of English.
