Position: Learning Manager KS3/4

Learning Manager (KS3/4) – Full-time, temporary to permanent from September 2026

This Learning Manager role offers a full-time, temporary to permanent opportunity starting in September 2026, working across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The Learning Manager will play a central role in supporting pupils’ behaviour, engagement, and emotional well-being, working closely with teaching, pastoral, and leadership teams. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who is confident supporting young people with additional needs and helping them achieve positive academic and personal outcomes.

Duties

as Learning Manager
  • Support pupils across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 with behaviour, engagement, and learning
  • Act as a key point of contact for pupils requiring additional pastoral or academic support
  • Implement and monitor individual support and behaviour plans
  • Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and resilience
  • Work one-to-one and with small groups to support learning and well-being
  • Support pupils during lessons, transitions, and unstructured times
  • Liaise closely with teachers, SEN staff, and senior leaders
  • Track pupil progress, behaviour, and attendance, feeding back to relevant staff
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and families where appropriate
  • Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times
Ideal Learning Manager
  • Experience working with young people in a pastoral, behaviour, or inclusion role
  • Experience supporting pupils at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Calm, consistent, and resilient approach to behaviour support
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Organised and confident in monitoring and recording pupil progress
  • Willingness to start on a temporary basis with the opportunity to become permanent
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
