Working standard school hours from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, you will support primary school pupils across Torquay with their academic and social development.

• Assisting the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
• Working 1:on:1 or in small groups with pupils who need extra support in reading, writing, and maths.
• Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for children from Reception to Year 6.
• Adapting quickly to different school environments and team dynamics.

You do not need a formal teaching qualification, but experience working with young people is essential. We highly value transferable skills from various backgrounds.

• Experience:
  
  Proven experience working with children or young people (e.g., in youth clubs, sports coaching, nurseries, care, volunteering, or Sunday schools).
• Hours:
  
  Ability to commit to the 8:30 AM : 3:30 PM schedule.

  Excellent communication, patience, reliability, and a proactive can:do attitude.
• Vetting:
  Must hold an Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to process a new one through Randstad.
