Reed Education are looking for enthusiastic, patient, and motivated individuals to join a primary-age specialist provision as Full-Time Teaching Assistants
, starting September 2026.

You do not need any previous school experience - full training, guidance, and on-the-job support will be provided. This is a fantastic opportunity for people who are new to education but keen to make a positive difference in children's lives.

This long-term position also offers a genuine opportunity to become permanent for the right person.

About the Role

You will support children aged 4-11 who may have additional learning needs, developmental delays, or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. Your role will involve helping pupils build confidence, regulate emotions, engage with learning, and develop key skills.

People without prior experience often excel in this role due to their fresh perspective, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting children aged 4-11 across a mix of subjects
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support
  • Helping children develop literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
  • Assisting with social development and emotional regulation
  • Encouraging positive routines, independence, and confidence
  • Working closely with teachers and support staff
  • Creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging learning environment
