Make a difference as a Teaching Assistant

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting students to achieve their full potential. Working within a supportive and inclusive school environment, you will help students engage with their learning, build confidence, and develop both academically and personally. You will work closely with teachers and other staff to create a positive learning experience and ensure students receive the support they need to succeed.

• Supporting students with their learning on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
• Building strong relationships with students, teachers, parents, and colleagues.
• Assisting with classroom activities and supporting the delivery of lessons.
• Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence, independence, and resilience.
• Supporting the wellbeing and personal development of students.
• Contributing to the wider school community and working collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYTS, NVQ, Cache or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a UK school
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as training for this can be provided)

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional, child-related references
• The successful candidate will be required to register and have passed all safeguarding/vetting checks with Prospero Teaching in order to fill this vacancy.

Any adult working with children and vulnerable young people are responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of the children and young people.
