Your responsibilities may include:

- Supporting young people with autism, ADHD, SEMH and communication difficulties.
- Helping pupils manage emotions and develop coping strategies.
- Encouraging participation in learning and practical activities.
- Supporting positive behaviour through patience and consistency.
- Helping pupils develop social skills and independence.
- Supporting educational activities within the wider community.
- Recognising achievements and contributing to progress reviews.
You don't necessarily need to come from a traditional classroom background.
Experience with in SEND, youth work, care, residential support, mentoring, behaviour support or education could be particularly valuable.
You'll need to be:
- Calm, patient and emotionally resilient.
- Confident supporting young people with additional needs.
- Able to build positive relationships and establish boundaries.
- Flexible when plans or situations change.
- Reliable, proactive and committed to pupil wellbeing.
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.

For some pupils, success begins with simply feeling comfortable enough to walk into a classroom.
