We are offering a development post for a Band 5 Physiotherapist who has had a minimum of 6 months experience in the NHS and has a specialist interest in Respiratory Physiotherapy.

We’re looking for a dynamic and HCPC‑registered Physiotherapist to join our friendly, supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a forward‑thinking environment where you can make a real difference to patients’ lives.

We have the opportunity to offer three 37.5‑hour Band 6 posts within the Inpatient respiratory physiotherapy team at Torbay Hospital. One post will support the pulmonary rehab service and provide Physiotherapy outpatient respiratory clinics within airway clearance and breathing pattern disorders.

These posts work within a team of Physiotherapists that provide services to ICU, Medical, Surgical, Paediatrics, Respiratory clinics and Pulmonary rehab.

You will provide senior leadership within your specialist area and deputise for the Band 7 when required.

You will provide respiratory care in clinics, for outpatients and home visits.

Act as a source of expertise on the assessment and management of patients presenting with a wide range of respiratory pathologies. Provide education to physiotherapists, student physiotherapists, skilled non‑registered staff, other healthcare professionals, GPs, Consultants, patients and their carers.

Work with the MDT to identify appropriate physiotherapy treatments and managements. Work closely with OT’s and discharge coordinators to facilitate appropriate patient discharge plans, utilising all current discharge services and planning procedures.
