As a Healthcare Assistant at Chelston Hall Surgery, Torquay, you will support primary care services by improving patient access, outcomes, and experience. The role involves assisting with patient duties, supporting clinical staff, and maintaining compliance with CQC outcomes. You will provide clinical procedures such as health checks and wound care and undertake administrative tasks including patient registration and stock control. Competency in phlebotomy, basic IT skills, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities are essential.

Job responsibilities- Assisting with patient duties and supporting clinical staff, including Nurse Lead, with patient care.
- Supporting the Practice with duties related to CQC outcomes and ensuring ongoing compliance.
- Working with patients with long-term conditions (e.g., Diabetes); requires phlebotomy experience.
- Providing clinical procedures such as new patient health checks, BMI, blood pressure, pulse, and basic wound care.
- Completing administrative tasks such as new patient registrations, distributing appropriate leaflets, stock control and ordering.

- Basic PC skills such as Word, Excel, and email.
