We are looking for Health Care/Support Assistants to join us in our purpose built Care Home at Meadfoot View, Torquay. You should be caring and enthusiastic and have previous experience of working in care or want to start a new career in caring for persons who have various physical disabilities.

Full Description

We are looking to recruit staff to care and support residents with all aspects of daily living including community engagement, activities both externally and within the service and working towards independence.

You will take our residents to appointments, theatre trips, community groups, discos and a variety of other activities.

The great thing about working within a complex care environment, is that two days will never be entirely the same. The right candidate must be organised in ascertaining the client’s needs promoting independence and choice.

All candidates will have to provide emotional and personal support to all our varied residents. This will also include all aspects of personal care, including bathing, toileting and getting people up and dressed. We would like staff who are positive, fun, outgoing, caring, person centred and passionate about providing quality care and support.

You will adhere to all relevant policies and procedures and be a part of the efficient running of the home, creating a warm and pleasant atmosphere for our residents and your colleagues.

  • Extra hourly rates paid for weekends with £0.50 Sat / £0.75 Sun.
  • Extra hourly rates paid for Bank Cover with £0.50 M-F /£0.75 Sat/ £1.00 Sun
  • Extra Monies paid for Bank Holidays
  • Paid Annual Leave with 28 days Pro-Rata Leave Regular Staff and development meetings
  • Unlimited use of employee referral scheme with £250 bonus.

  • Be computer literate and competent at writing reports.
