Are you the right person to complete our Hospice at Home team?

The Hospice at Home Team support people who wish to spend their last days in their own home. We provide symptom control and psychological and emotional support to not only the patient but also to their loved ones who are caring for them. We are looking for a committed registered nurse to join our team. With support from the Hospice at Home Sister, you would be responsible for planning and managing care for patients wishing to die at home.

We don’t pretend this is an easy job, but it is incredibly rewarding. You will have support from within your team along with clinical supervision to help deal with the difficult times and you will finish every shift knowing that you have made a huge difference to every patient that you have visited.

Our education department provide teaching sessions which we would support you to attend, and we also encourage attendance at external training events that would be useful to your role. You may be able to continue your current NHS pension membership.

To be successful in this role you will need to be a registered nurse with a passion for palliative care, have excellent communication skills, and a desire to work in the community. Community and/or palliative care experience would be an advantage.
