Crisis Recovery Worker
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Crisis Recovery Worker to join our team. In this role you will provide essential support to individuals in crisis, helping to assess their needs, provide emotional guidance, and promote mental health and wellbeing within a fast‑paced environment. You will work collaboratively with a supportive team and partner with local agencies and external networks.
Responsibilities- Support people who use the service throughout their journey to reach personal objectives.
- Support existing workshops and groups that are currently active within the services.
- Offer responsive support through face‑to‑face, virtual, and telephone interactions.
- Assist people in accessing statutory support, including psychological interventions.
- Develop and maintain a solid understanding of community resources and partner organisations to signpost clients and promote social inclusion.
- Instil a sense of hope and well‑being while empowering people to regain control over their lives.
- Help those who use the service engage with and establish connections within their local communities.
- Aid people in finding satisfaction across various aspects of their lives.
- Health and Social Care Level 2 or Level 3 (or equivalent) and willingness to develop further.
- Experience working with mental health and ability to inspire and engage people.
- Understanding of working with people with complex needs, including mental health, learning, physical and substance misuse (advantageous).
- Experience working with people in crisis, including one‑to‑one engagement and group facilitation.
- Experience of sign‑posting and engaging people in mainstream provision.

Hours:
12 or 18 hours per week.
Salary: £26,607 – £29,378 full‑time equivalent (pro‑rata).
Location:
The Mooring, Torquay, South Devon & Torbay Mental Health Centre, Torbay Hospital, Lowes Bridge, TQ2 7AA
.
Service hours: 4 pm – 10 pm, Monday to Sunday (365 days).
