They are seeking an ambitious Senior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and play a key role in financial reporting. Base pay range
$90,000.00/yr - $/yr
The OpportunityThe Senior Accountant will be a vital member of the accounting team, responsible for general ledger management, month-end close, reconciliations, and cost accounting. This individual will work closely with the Business Unit Controller and plant leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, support decision-making, and help streamline processes. The ideal candidate has a background in manufacturing or consumer goods.
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger management
- Support cost accounting, inventory valuation, and variance analysis to drive operational efficiency
- Assist in preparing accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with GAAP and company policies
- Partner with the Business Unit Controller and plant leadership to provide financial insights that support business performance
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting processes
- Ensure internal controls are maintained and adhered to
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting efficiency
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Background in manufacturing, consumer goods, or distribution required
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and inventory management
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Net Suite, or similar)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
