As a Tax Manager
, you'll take the lead on complex tax engagements while guiding and developing your team. Your day-to-day will include:
- Reviewing and approving tax returns across all levels of complexity, making judgment calls on technical matters
- Managing high-value client relationships and serving as their trusted tax advisor
- Leading tax planning sessions and collaborating with audit and advisory teams on strategic initiatives
- Mentoring and coaching staff accountants through seniors, helping them develop technical and client service skills
- Representing clients before tax authorities when needed and overseeing the resolution of tax examinations
- Contributing to process improvements and staying current on tax law changes that impact clients
- Participating in business development through networking and community involvement
- 5+ years of progressive public accounting experience with increasing tax complexity
- Strong hands-on experience preparing individual, partnership, and corporate returns
- At least 2 years supervising and developing tax professionals
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's in Taxation is a plus)
- Active CPA license
- Comfortable working remotely with monthly in-person collaboration, unless you prefer working more onsite, which is possible
