Controller, Accounting, Financial Reporting

We are partnering with a well-established, privately held organization in the manufacturing and distribution industry seeking an experienced

Controller to lead its accounting operations and financial reporting functions.

The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of technical accounting expertise, multi-entity financial reporting, manufacturing/cost accounting, and leadership experience. This individual will play a critical role in strengthening accounting processes, improving financial visibility, and implementing scalable systems and controls to support continued growth.

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Oversee consolidated financial statements across multiple entities in accordance with US GAAP.
• Manage general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting activities.
• Coordinate annual audits, tax reporting requirements, and external financial reporting requests.
• Partner with finance and operational leadership to optimize working capital and cash flow.
• Support cash forecasting, liquidity planning, and financial risk management.
• Ensure accurate accounting and reporting of accounts receivable, reserves, and related activities.
• Oversee inventory accounting, cost accounting, and related financial controls.
• Ensure accurate inventory valuation, costing methodologies, and reserve calculations.
• Analyze manufacturing variances, inventory trends, and operational performance.
• Partner with operations and finance leadership to identify opportunities for cost savings, margin improvement, and increased profitability.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize ERP systems and related financial technologies.
• Develop scalable accounting processes and controls to support organizational growth.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with executive leadership, FP&A, operations, and other departments to support strategic initiatives.
• Serve as a key accounting and finance resource to senior management.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, CPA preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or controllership responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and multi-entity consolidations.
• Manufacturing, distribution, inventory accounting, or cost accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to lead accounting teams and improve processes within a growing organization.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting technologies.
• Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Hands-on, proactive leadership style with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
