Contracts Administrator Manager
Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Contract Administration Manager for the Torrance, CA location.
This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in business capture activities, contract management, and strategic development. The Contracts Manager will perform at various levels of responsibility and accountability within the Military Aircraft Group operating model. This includes managing contracts‑related activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, delivering advanced contract interpretation and guidance to business stakeholders by conducting comprehensive reviews of contract terms and related documentation to ensure clarity, compliance, and alignment with organizational objectives.
The Contracts Manager will navigate relationships and dynamics with both internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and influencing outcomes effectively.
In this role you will lead, mentor, and develop a team of Contract Admin or Repair Admin, assign workloads, review team outputs, and assure timely and high‑quality contract delivery.
As a Contract Administration Manager, you will be responsible for:
Contract Management & Negotiation- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, NDAs, purchase orders, and long‑term agreements with customers, suppliers, and partners.
- Lead contract discussions and develop negotiation strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Ensure all contractual documentation complies with the company’s proposals, policies, and negotiated terms.
- Evaluate commercial, technical, and financial risks; ensure adherence to legal, corporate, and regulatory guidelines.
- Interpret and apply Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and agency‑specific requirements.
- Ensure compliance with trade regulations, data protection laws, business ethics, and export control requirements.
- Partner with business development, sales, supply chain, legal, and technical teams to support contract execution and data rights documentation.
- Consult with Group or Corporate Legal Counsel on complex matters.
- Maintain strong internal and external customer relationships through timely communication and issue resolution.
- Create and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and training materials to enhance sales team capabilities.
- Participate in all phases of contractual matters affecting programs and support continuous process improvement.
- Manage contract‑related claims, disputes, insolvencies, and resolutions.
- Collaborate with empowered officials to secure export licenses and government authorizations.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or business/contract law or contract administration.
- Five (5) years’ relevant experience in the field of contracts management, negotiation, and/or sales/account management.
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams.
- Travel:
Ability to travel 10‑20% of the time. - Ability to access U.S. export‑controlled information.
