This role is based out of our Torrance office and requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and demonstrated experience managing and estimating hotel, restaurant, and tenant improvement construction projects.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate project efforts between architects, designers, engineers, subcontractors, consultants, and owners
  • Lead project estimation, take-offs, and proposal assembly in coordination with internal team members
  • Define project scope, deliverables, and budget requirements
  • Develop and submit project budgets based on scope of work and resource requirements
  • Manage all day-to-day project schedules and ensure contract compliance
  • Monitor project costs and schedules to meet budget and timeline requirements
  • Administer owner and subcontractor contracts
  • Manage change orders, including entitlement review and documentation verification
  • Review and approve owner and subcontractor applications for payment
  • Obtain required permits, approvals, and regulatory prerequisites
  • Negotiate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors
  • Select, manage, and maintain subcontractor and supplier relationships
  • Identify and implement value engineering opportunities
  • Predict resources required to complete projects successfully
  • Monitor and measure project cost and schedule performance (project controls)
  • Ensure conformance with contracts, bid specifications, and construction documents
  • Issue regular project updates related to cost, schedule, and progress
  • Represent the company at required job site meetings
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, architects, interior designers, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors
  • Ensure all projects meet schedule, budget, and contractual obligations
Qualifications
  • Proven expertise in tenant improvement, hotel and restaurant construction/renovations.
  • Proven experience in estimating and construction take-offs
  • 5–7 years of project management experience with a commercial general contracting firm
  • Hospitality construction experience required (hotel, restaurant, and tenant improvement projects)
  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project
  • Experience with On-Screen Takeoff, Sage 100 Contractor (formerly Sage Master Builder), and CAD is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong estimating, buyout, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architectural principles
  • Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control project costs
  • High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Comfortable reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications
