Hourly Pay Rate Range: $90–$120/hour

We are seeking a highly experienced Structural Engineer to support structural reliability and seismic assessments at a refinery in Torrance, California. This role is ideal for engineers with deep experience in refining or heavy process industries and strong knowledge of California seismic codes.

• Perform structural reliability and seismic assessments for refinery structures and equipment
• Conduct FMEA/FMECA and seismic risk evaluations
• Apply CBC, ASCE 7, API, AISC, and ACI seismic design standards
• Assess anchorage, bracing, foundations, and non-structural components
• Prepare technical reports and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

• BS in Civil/Structural Engineering (MS preferred)
• 15+ years in refining, oil & gas, or heavy process industries
• Strong seismic expertise in high-risk zones (California experience required)
• California PE (or ability to obtain CA licensure)
• Able to work 40 hrs/week on-site in a refinery
• Familiarity with FMECA and risk-based methodologies

• Completion of 20 hours of safety training (Risk Level
  1)
• Pass drug test and meet refinery safety standards
