Purpose

As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer
, you will lead manufacturing engineering efforts across the development, build, commissioning, and production lifecycle of advanced automation equipment including: robotic assembly systems, automated post processing, coatings line and more! You will serve as the primary manufacturing engineering owner for multiple equipment platforms and processes, ensuring they are designed for manufacturability, successfully commissioned, and scaled into reliable production assets.

The Role
  • Contribute to manufacturing engineering support across multiple advanced manufacturing modules: robotic assembly & inspection, automated post processing, coatings line, and more
  • Develop and continuously improve comprehensive work instructions and standard operating procedures for internal and external manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with design and R&D teams to enhance manufacturability at the component, assembly, and system level.
  • Conduct design for manufacturing (DFM) analyses to reduce cost and improve cycle time.
  • Support design changes through PLM, configurations, and ECO implementation.
  • Design, evaluate, and optimize tooling, fixtures, and assembly jigs.
  • Lead root cause and corrective action (RCCA) activities for manufacturing‑related issues.
  • Define and monitor equipment efficiency metrics (e.g., utilization, OEE, throughput) to improve machine uptime and inform preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Partner with supply chain to bring up production lines, support sourcing activities, and resolve supplier technical issues.
  • Support the implementation and adoption of enterprise tools like PLM, ERP, and MES systems.
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts across manufacturing documentation, process control, and product transitions.
  • Own project management responsibilities including: scheduling, defining budgets, tracking spend and ensuring delivery against timelines for assigned equipment programs.
  • Coordinate with facilities and factory layout owners to champion equipment placement, ensuring proper utilities, flow, and integration with surrounding assets.
Basic Qualifications
  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls.
  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering, or manufacturing engineering, preferably in capital equipment, or low‑volume/high‑mix development or production environments.
  • Proficient in 3D CAD modeling and drawing creation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in work instruction development, process documentation, and tooling design.
  • Familiar with GD&T, tolerance analysis, and basic fabrication/assembly practices.
  • Experience with PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter), ERP, and MES tools.
  • Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills across engineering, production, and supply chain.
  • Adaptable and effective in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Hands‑on skills in basic fabrication or assembly.
  • Ability to effectively operate and adapt in a fast‑paced, open environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

  • Experience with NX CAD and Teamcenter PLM.
